The Gdansk Shakespeare Festival, taking place from 26th July to 4th August 2019 is once again joining in international cooperation whose aim is to promote mutual European values – by participating in the “Shaking the walls” project.
Festival events comprised as a part of Shaking the Walls project include a presentation of Deutsches Theatre Berlin production “Rom”, directed by Karin Henkel as one of the Main Stage productions. Moreover there is a series of presentations within the ShakespeareOFF – alternative current of the festival, showcasing young and promising artists from different countries in a form of a competition. The Competition theme this year is revolving around the artistic interpretation of walls, physical or metaphorical borders separating people.
